About Me

My Name is TEDOM NOUTCHOGOUIN DONALD

My journey in computer engineering began in 2019 when I enrolled at the National Higher Polytechnic Institute of Bambili, part of the University of Bamenda in Cameroon. From the beginning, I was fascinated by how technology could transform ideas into real-world solutions and solve complex problems across industries.

During my academic journey, I developed a strong interest in software engineering, data science, and intelligent systems. In 2023, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, where my academic work focused on building a recommendation system, exploring how algorithms can analyze user behavior and generate intelligent suggestions.

Driven by curiosity and a passion for innovation, I continued my studies and completed my Master’s degree in Computer Engineering in 2024, officially becoming a Computer Engineer from Cameroon.

For my master’s research, I worked on a project titled “Cameroon Solar Radiation Prediction using Machine Learning and Deep Learning Algorithms.” The objective of this research was to develop predictive models capable of estimating solar radiation levels using advanced artificial intelligence techniques. Such models are crucial for improving solar energy planning, renewable energy management, and climate data analysis, particularly in regions where reliable environmental data can help accelerate the transition to sustainable energy. The research project was designed with the goal of producing a scientific publication intended for submission to an Elsevier journal, contributing to the global research community in the fields of machine learning and renewable energy forecasting.

But my journey in technology did not stop in the classroom.

In 2021, while still a student, I decided to put into practice an idea inspired by a philosopher who once said:

“When you don’t know something, teach it.” I realized that teaching could be one of the most powerful ways to learn and deepen understanding. With that mindset, I created a YouTube channel called Donald Programmeur. What started as a simple initiative to share programming knowledge quickly grew into a strong learning community. Today, the channel brings together more than 13,000 programmers, where developers learn, exchange ideas, and grow together.

This experience opened the door to many professional opportunities. Through my work and visibility in the developer community, I began collaborating with companies as a technology consultant, contributing to projects across Africa, Europe, and America.

In 2022, motivated by a desire to build innovative technology solutions for the African ecosystem, I founded HooYia Co. LTD, an IT company focused on developing revolutionary digital products and services in Africa. The company aims to empower organizations, developers, and entrepreneurs through technology-driven innovation.

Today, my journey continues internationally. I currently work as a DevOps Engineer at Desjardins in Quebec, Canada, the largest cooperative financial group in North America. In this role, I contribute to designing and maintaining reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure that supports critical financial and assurance services.

Alongside my professional career, I continue to push the boundaries of learning. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence at Université Laval, expanding my expertise in intelligent systems, machine learning, and advanced computational technologies.

Looking back, my path has been shaped by curiosity, resilience, and a deep belief in sharing knowledge. From a student in Cameroon to an engineer working on international technology projects, my journey has always been driven by one simple idea:

Technology becomes powerful when it is shared, taught, and used to empower others.

And for me, this is only the beginning of a much bigger journey.
