Infrastructure labs

Hands-on infrastructure labs: you design architectures, write Dockerfiles and type docker commands, then watch it all run through traffic and outages and get graded on what works. System design and containers are open today; Docker Swarm, Kubernetes and the cloud come next.

New Architecture Studio

Design your own cloud architecture, then find out what it really costs.

Not an exercise this time: your architecture, your traffic, your goals. Draw regions, VPCs and subnets, get every change checked like a real deployment, throw outages at it, and compare the monthly bill on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.

  • If it would fail on the cloud, it fails here, with the reason
  • 17 tests, from a crashed server to ransomware
  • 23 templates that work, from a static site to a global SaaS
  • An AI architect that designs three checked variants within your budget
Planned

Kubernetes

Deploy, scale and repair workloads on a simulated cluster from a terminal.

Planned

Cloud architecture

Networks, identities and managed services, the way cloud providers really bill them.

Planned

Networking

Subnets, routing, DNS and TLS, packet by packet.

Every lab works the same way

  1. A real brief

Traffic, budget, and the failure that will happen at 10:00. Exactly what you would get at work.

  2. You build

Components and their settings, Dockerfiles, compose files, commands: whatever the lab is about, you do it yourself.

  3. It breaks on purpose

Crashes, traffic peaks, full disks, lost nodes. Every failure is explained, with the concept to read.

  4. Graded on what works

Any solution that meets the objectives passes. Then compare it with an expert reference.

Five tiers in every lab, one progression

Each tier you complete in a lab adds a nine to your rank in that lab, the way availability is measured in production. Uptime points add up across all labs and place you on the leaderboard.

  1. 90%

    Beginner free

Run the basics and understand them: a server, a database, a first container.

  2. 99%

    Intermediate

Build what holds real traffic: load balancing, caching, clean images, multi-service stacks.

  3. 99.9%

    Advanced

Operate and secure it: distributed data, failures, graceful shutdowns, least privilege.

  4. 99.99%

    Expert

Run platforms at scale: multi-region systems, consensus, clusters and zero-downtime updates.

  5. 99.999%

    Architect

Defend an architecture against real constraints: cost, migrations, compliance and teams.
